Wooden Teppo Skewers

A long shaft or thin rod placed through portions of meat and other items to hold numerous pieces together while cooking over a grill or roasting over an open fire is referred to as a wooden Teppo Skewer. When grilling meals, wooden Teppo Skewers are typically used. Wooden skewers are more hygienic and don't hold the heat from the grill or fire. Flat metal skewers are usually better at holding food in place so it may be spun without turning on the rod. Wood skewers lessen the risk of the wood burning as the dish cooks.
